Chapter 1

Kavya pov

"I know maa, I won't mess this up. It's not my fault when they tell me" to be honest". What do you expect of me. The guys run away like a mouse after the honest answers I give ."

I hear a beep, I think she hang upon me. Typical. 

I'm still waiting for this guy who is already late for this date arranged by our parents.

"Excuse me, are you Miss Kavya?"

I hear a deep voice that sends chills down my spine. 

I heave a breath and shouted "what the....fuck " he looks like a lost kid whose candy has been stolen and I need to  blink a couple of times and wonder if this is the same guy who said my name. 

I kept on staring and he waves his hand in front of me. 

" you Shiva ? " he nods like a excited kid. 

"Have a seat. Sorry for my outburst "I apologize and he just smiles. He has dimples, cool. 

I kept staring at him (like a creep). 

"Looks like you ordered already " I cuss him for his deep voice in my mind which always sends me chills.

"Well, you were late "I replied with a straight face. He was gonna reply, I just waved it off "yeah yeah busy with work! Client Won't Leave until it's done!! blah blah ."

He laughs and I want to punch him. 

"Fine let's not waste each other time, As I can see you are a busy man".

He nods in negative, I continue " you want to marry me or not " he blinks twice. 

I huff and tell " Look. I'll just be honest I'm just looking for a rich guy who is macho no offense but I think you won't fit in that category "

Then I smile at him "Let's be friends "

He looks puzzled then I elaborate "well I thought I was set up to a rich guy so I thought I'll pursue him to marry me " 

Then I motion him to come closer "I'm a gold digger but what can I expect from a rich guy, anyways. He won't be the loyal one or the ideal type they just exist in stories . "

He frowns "don't worry I always wanted a friend like you. Who is weak and kind only problem is your voice it doesn't resonate with you "

He suddenly comes closer to my surprise, but I don't freak out this time "What say? for now let's be friends and eventually you will get used to my voice "

"Then what about marriage that our parents are trying to set us up with, "he asks 

"Oh right! You can tell them I'm ugly "he started choking on the water he was drinking. 

"Are you alright ?"I frown and pass him tissues. 

"Okay but why me. You can't just tell your parents no ? "

He asks 

"it's because my mom is already suspicious of me, that I'm the one chasing away the guys instead of charming them, so this time you reject me and I'll tell I'm okay with this marriage "

He smirks evilly and says "okay "

"Since we are friends I'll pay for it," I tell him and walk to the counter.

"Are you sure about being a gold digger , since you are paying for it I'm curious about it "he whispers in my ear? I jump a little which he didn't notice, damn his voice. 

"Now since we are already friends I pay all our bills,  come let's go I'll drop you "

"why I feel I'm the girl who is a damsel in distress and you my Prince Charming ," he asks

I hook my arm around him "yep that's right since I guess you don't have a car" I say and before he gets a chance to reply I push him inside my car and drop him off near the bus stop since he insisted and I go home. 

When I reach home I thought I'll be the one to surprise my parent but I was the one going to be surprised.

Chapter 2

Kavya pov

What the fu Is going on here so many cars and annoying relatives in my house. I'm fuming inside, I walk hurriedly inside to ask 'what's going on' to my mom but stopped by this aunties for their CID work ."I think you have gained weight","Put on some sun's screen sweetie or else you will become more dark ","Darling wear some nice clothes this is old trend". I nod a yes and ran from that place to search my mom. 

Finally I found her in my room she is preparing clothes for me to wear I guess "Maa what's going on " she doesn't turn and replies " For your marriage " I nod and was gonna walk away. 

Wait a minute did I hear her correctly " Maa what you're talking about " I asked shocked. 

"The groom said okay to this marriage "she smiles happily but I'm fuming inside.

"Maa but don't you think this is too soon" I tried to convince her but my stubborn mother said if I don't get married now I will die as a nun.

I go to the balcony preparing all the bad words I know to sprout on that Shiva and call him. 

"Hey Kavya, so how it went. You should thank me" I calm myself and reply " Oh I'm so grateful for your service " with so much venom. 

"You ------- I just asked you one thing and what have you done ". He tries to ask what's wrong but I scold him in all the bad words I know. 

Finally I calm down and wait for him to explain "Geez girl, now I know why you never dated anyone. Listen I did what you asked me and said my parents I'm not interested in this marriage and I want to achieve more in the business "now I'm confused. 

"Wait if you said no to this marriage then with whom I'm getting married "I ask him. 

"What??!!!! You are getting married but how come?!! I thought you wanted time??? I liked you very much from the start and didn't want to force you in this relationship but now you said okay to some other guy??? " he shouts. My ear hurts geez.

'Calm down dude, I didn't even know I was getting married and top on that I don't even know how he looks and what work he is doing "I tell him. 

I continue " I didn't even ask my mom anything further, thinking that you will be the groom. But guess not. Don't worry I'll tell my mom I like you and you postponed the marriage".

"Don't lie!! you didn't like me.So you did all this drama and now you are acting innocent I wont spare you " he cuts the call. 

Wow I collected one more enemy on my journey called life. Let me talk to my mom and make her understand.

I was gonna knock on the door but "Shanti my daughter finally is getting married and the groom is so talented,sweet, caring. he will be perfect ." I never seen my mother so happy after that incident. Fine I decided I'll talk to the groom itself.

I push open the door and say "Mom I'm ready for this marriage".

So I ask her "when is the marriage "she smiles and says " Tomorrow"

I nod okay and go to my room and was gonna sleep off the adventures I faced today.

Then later that night My mom comes into my room and asks "Don't you wanna know how he looks or what he does for a living??"

I tell it's fine but she was gonna insist but I was stubborn ,finally she stands up to leave not before saying  " His name is Aditya" and closes the door.

Why I feel I know this name and not in the pleasant way.

Chapter 3

Kavya pov 

Early morning at 2 my mom barges in my room and shouts. 

"Kavya get ready we need to leave and reach mandap soon, I already have so much work to do blah blah "after hearing her babbling lazily I pack all the toiletries and get inside the car.when it started moving I just kept staring blankly at the vehicles passing us. It took nearly 2 hours for us to reach.When we got there I directly go to the room that was assigned to me even without looking at all the decorations been made for my so called marriage .Then finally when I entered the room I saw my heaven known as bed ,I jump on it and curled myself into the blanket and dozed off. 

I feel someone shaking me hard and hear a shout and know it's my mom "wake up,wake up " to be honest my mom is annoying me so much and with my eyes closed I shouted "Maa go out"then slowly I murmur "wait a minute today is holiday I'll get up when I feel like " 

"oh yeah and the groom will wait for you till you get up "that's when realization hits me I'm getting married today. I stand up from bed so fast that I feel little dizzy. I clutch my head for a second. My mom noticed that and came towards me who was folding the blankets "Kavya you alright "she asks. 

"yeah mom I'm fine just that I stood up suddenly "I say and give a small smile. 

"Fine if you say so, look I kept the jewelry and clothes in the next room Stylist and makeup artist are there. Get ready soon .by the way your stupid friends will be here any moment, they said for me not to tell you ,so act surprised "she said and left. 

After hearing her I get inside the washroom with the toiletries, I start brushing my teeth and do my morning business (aka toilet). After that I go to the next room and saw everyone was ready with there weapons and tools . I accepted my fate like in a war and just sat there with my own thoughts and in blink of an eye I was ready ,actually it took more then 5 hours when I saw the time. 

The makeup artists were the last people to go and As I was closing the door for them to leave my two monkey friends jump in front of me to scare me but when they saw I didn't show any reaction they huff and get inside the room. 

"So I guess aunty already said we are coming "Trishu said (aka Trisha) "By the way you look like an elephant in a circus with all the makeup on " Phil said (aka Inbaraj) Trishu who was standing next to me throws the comb on him and it hits his head. 

He shouts "what was that for "she just replied f/ck off .

"No Kavya you look just fine he's just jealous that you are getting married before him "and pats my head but soon she also starts laughing saying I look like clown. 

"Fine jokes apart what's wrong with you. Why can't you just tell your mom I'm not ready for the marriage instead of always scaring away all guys "both of them sit on bean bags and start munching on the snacks which was kept for the stylist. 

"Look I haven't seen my mom so happy since you know "I say and walk towards the window,they look at each other and understood. 

We three were on our own thoughts Just then my mom enters the room and when looked at me she gets kinda emotional "you look like an angel "she whispers and this two monkeys burst out laughing. 

"Aunty I think you need to get your eyes checked she looks like a clown wait no whole circus "my mom goes towards them and pinches both of their Ears "you both get down and help in the mandap I need to talk somethings with my daughter ".

But before leaving both of them shout "Kavya you don't worry we both will be down helping and just give a signal we three will run off" my mom glares at them, Phil got scared and shouts "No aunty I'll stay next to her only, making sure she doesn't run away like monkey though she looks like one " still my mom was glaring at them so both run away. 

"Kavya trust me I know this guy he will take care of you very nicely "my mom was gonna continue but I shush her. 

"Mom can I ask something "she nods. 

"Mom can I call dad "when I said that she got so angry and shouts "Consider him as dead"after a minute she  calmly says " I'll send the girls when everything is ready " and left .

After some time I hear knocking expecting other girls I open the door but to my surprise I saw a little girl she motions for me to come closer and whispers "Akka your father is in the corner room of this floor and he said for you to come secretly" .i nod with excitement expecting to see my dad 

But I was getting too excited without knowing the danger that was waiting for me.
