It's Been Long

A couple married for years slowly started to become distant. They weren't excited as they were before. They weren't intimate or playful like before. They drowned themselves in work. Soon, a new young couple moved in next door. This young couple always looked happy and playful. This old couple started to become jealous of them.

They always compared their relationship with this new young couple. And they thought their marriage has lost its spark and that let too many arguments and fights between them. Days passed, but their hearts were still stuck. But one day, when they came from work, they didn't find the young couple. In fact, it's been days since they didn't see them. They assumed they might have gone to their second honeymoon. Suddenly, they heard their other neighbors standing in the balcony talking...

Sadness, guilt and shame consumed them. Tears followed its way. They hugged each other, stood their for a long time. A tear made its way again, when both realized, it's been days since they last hugged each other and they suddenly missed themselves together and their conversations.
