I (for) Inspired

My mom is my best friend. She always tries to show me the better side of life. It is the story about the time when I have to move out to live alone in a different city. My mom was trying to teach me how to cook,

"Now, slowly add the oil to the pan" she said,

I did as I was instructed. She was teaching me to cook potato curry. The naive me was following her like an assistance.

"Now...add the chopped chilly" She instructed,

as soon as I added the chilly to it, the inside of the cooking pot started cracking like Diwali crackers. The small seeds of chilly started popping out and I moved like a meter away from it.

My mom started laughing, I saw she wasn't worried of the seeds party that was going inside the pot,

"Keep stiring, they will not touch you otherwise it'll burn" She said,

"How am I supposed to stir these naughty chilies, I am not here to burn" I commented.

"You know mostly girls learn cooking at high school only, coming at your age they become experts" She said.

I pouted and did as she was instructing me. I learned cooking soon by mimicking her actions in the kitchen.

It was about a month for me to leave when I realized that my mom doesn't know driving and she goes to every place. Even for very basics like everyday shopping, bank, relatives' place etc. she is dependent on me.

"Mom, I'll teach you how to drive" I said dragging her towards the scooty with her shoulders.

'NO, I don't need it"

"You do, what will you do after I'll leave?"

"But I am all grown up for this"

"You inspired me to cook, and I learned cooking , even though I was grown up too. Now its your turn" I said placing helmet over her head.

It took me about half a month to teach her driving,

"I must say you are a fast learner" I said sitting on back seat while she was driving to the market.

"All because you inspired me honey" she said with proud, I was filled with proud too.

Later, my mom inspired me to take work hard and never give up, she says I inspired her to take risks and always keep learning. I guess this is how our bond is, we keep inspiring each other. We are like each other's support pillars.
