“It may be just malaria ,”hazarded Mohi , her wife.

“For six days, un-intermittently without a single second of relaxation!”Unmukt laughed gloomily.

 “ I dare not name anything now.

I must go in person and see.

I shall go home now, and then catch the six o’clock flight.

 I shall be in Nepal tomorrow morning.

“Offcourse Yes,” said mohi in a sarcastic tone to the afflicted man .

“Many thanks.He did not have time to recollect that sarcasm and reply accordingly. ‘I shall try to be back soon ,”said Unmukt in an apologetic and grateful voice.

 He stepped into the road, took out his scooty from its stand , and said to mohi :

 “ I have marked and set reminders for two addresses on your tablet. If the kids don’t feel well after their first bottle of milk in the morning , give the call to these paediatricians and tell them to have a visit .”

As he was ready to go on the scooty , Mohi ran to the door , and said : “Look here,not that I shirk work and not want to look after the office or anything, but why do you suppose all these terrible things? On the authority of no replies and the mention of slight cold?

But unmukt scorned this question, jumped on his cycle without a word, and sped away. Mohi stood looking after the scooty for some time, and turned in , throwing up her arms in despair. But then, it is a writer’s business only to ask questions; but he cannot always expect an answer.
