‘LIFE happens to people and since then people have lost their faith in their own reflection. The question here is- On Reel or in reality?

Let me introduce myself. I’m the 'camera' from the world of cinema. You must have many questions for me because of the glamour and scandalous world, I worked in all my life.

In this cinematic world, the difference between reel and real life is very blurred in nature, and for the outside world, there is not at all any difference between these mirrors. Both are one and the same.

Every year an infinite number of people come to this city to try their luck in films.

This is the story of a Look-alike of a superstar Mr X. I have never mentioned this story to anyone because nobody wants to hear a Photocopy story. Everyone is interested in originality. I don’t know why but I strongly feel that all the people in this world are just lookalikes of each other. Bizarre thought, right? And it’s true that you don’t need to resemble anyone. Once you’re in front of the camera, your face and fate, both, change. Basically, the people, what they appear to be, they are not and what they actually are, never appear to be. More bizarreness, right?

Now please don’t ask ‘on reel or in reality. Because my answer would be the same,i.e. What’s the difference?....

A Look-alike:

His name was Kishore Bhanushali and was a taxi driver. He was the exact photocopy of Mr. X. Many passengers in his taxi used to ask him if he was Mr X. But he could not be him because Mr. X was no more.

When Kishore was in his teenage years, a new cinema hall had opened in his village. There Mr X’s movie was playing very often. Kishore’s Father had taken him to see the latest film of Mr X. When the film was over, people looked at him and said “ Look! Mr X is here!”. When Kishore got back home and saw himself in the mirror…..it wasn’t his face anymore. So if that wasn’t his face then where did his face go and whose was he wearing at this very moment?....

But since then …..he has lost faith in his own reflection. The question is –From Reel or Reality? , What’s the difference between them, where is the line? But the more important question is –Who cares? Big Deal, right?

They are one and the same.

After that Kishore tried his luck in films. Mr X was still alive then. First, he got a job at a circus, where he was spotted by a film producer and got a small part in his magnum opus “ As Junior Mr. X”.

Once he met Mr X in the washroom of a five-star hotel, both were peeing side by side. Mr X just smiled and said….”I’ve seen you somewhere young man !.”

The strange thing was that….his face wasn’t his anymore. It was like ‘His’. “ As Kishore bhanushali”.

After that, they never met again and I have never mentioned this incident to anyone.

Do you know why? Because once you are in front of the camera, You, your face, your fate, everything changes.
