"Then I'll sell your grandmother's jewelry. Now don't worry your little head with all these things. Think of your groom, and go to sleep." 

"How will you people survive if you sell everything for my wedding? It's not fair. There should be other men willing to marry me without all these things. You know it is punishable offense to give and receive dowry during marriages?" she asked incredulously which irked her father.
