Finally, Married! Part 7

Days went by. Two weeks had long since passed and they were into their fourth week. 

“Priyanka, Harish is a good guy and the family is reputed. Why don’t you just marry?” Subha voiced the collective opinion of all their friends.

“Yeah, what is the problem girl? Are you in love with someone? Is it Ganesh here since I know it is not me?” Shyam Sunder wondered just to receive a loud smack on his head.

“I’m not in love, you idiot. I don’t want to marry because they are asking for a hefty dowry and my father is planning to sell half of his land and my grandmother’s jewellery for it. How will they live?” Priyanka asked in exasperation. She was supremely irritated of not finding a way to get out of the situation.
