What an excellent performance. 99/100. She is my student. She is creative focused and organized, This is her hard work. One should not have any problem with her achievement. How much I got? What was my percentage? Though, Nobody is asking my marks and my performance in class X and XII. When I came for an interview at this prestigious school, I carried many certificates to present to the panel. A British headmaster Mr. Carling came to office by cycle. Hang on, Mr. Carling! Let me speak to this gentleman. It was Mr.Ganti, who happens to be the Dean of studies.
He spoke to me in detail and at length. Then he took me, Headmaster Carling. I presented my papers and he told me, "I don't see the papers but the person. I was offered the job. 4 times more salary and excellent perks were offered at that place. I was getting calls and congratulation for the achievement of my students. I felt jealous. This is not the first time when I felt this. I started blaming the board. Anybody can pass in this board examination. This is not the real mark. This is standardized marks.
No one can achieve this much in language. In our time, to get 60 percent you have to work very hard. This man has killed our education system. Later, When, Mr. Toms was appointed as Housemaster, I could not sleep that night thinking about him and his qualification. Class XII pass and he will get more salary than Post Graduate Teachers. Headmaster told me the next day that I was not even an applicant and the Headmaster knows the best! Then 2 more new teachers joined the school. I was getting a very good salary and perks compared to most Indian schools. Unfortunately, I was worried about others salary and this was the cause of dissatisfaction. My friends were helping me feel more and more jealous of other colleagues and one fine morning I submitted my resignation saying that there is no future here.
My junior colleagues are being promoted as Housemaster and Deputy Housemaster and still, I am holding the same position. I was relieved after my notice period. I came to a new place and then realized that my previous school was far better than these religious mafias. They run a school controlled by the Hindu mission. They run it on a profit basis and in the name of bhiksha and Gita Classes they collected huge amounts as a donation. Immediately, within 3 months, I approached the new headmaster at the previous school and there was an announcement from HM office that our erstwhile Teacher is coming back to Tezpur Valley School. I found there were a few who were not happy to read this news!
