White walls enclosed her as she lay there, staring into nothingness. The air was cold, chilling her bones. She felt fragile, left to herself with wires penetrating through her skin and coming out like snakes entangling their prey.

Oblivious to the versimilitude, she decided to explore; to see where the inconsiderate had brought her and left her stranded. Agony rushed through her entire body as she got up, her enervated body crying, pleading for rest. Yet she disregarded the pain, desperate to know where she was. Desperate to know her vicinity.

Finally, she stoops up only to fall back asleep on the white table. Her eyes flickered sporadically, catching a glimpse of razor-sharp equipment here and there. Where was I? She thought. Again she fell back to sleep, her pale skin blending with the table on which she lay. It looked as if no one was there in this eccentric room that was bereft of any colour.

The floor glistening under the bright lights, the walls as impeccable as an ocean. No windows embraced the wall, and nothing embellished the room except for unfathomable pieces of metal that were too detrimental to even touch. Moving just a wire would send the fragile body laying on the bed into the arms of Death.

Tall and slender, a blonde woman walked into the room towards the girl. "Dear girl, wake up, " she said, in a mellifluous voice. "Here is your medicine. Swallow it with some water and you'll be fine."

Finally! Finally, she knew that this was not an apocalyptic place but where she can help her body recover. She was walking on the path of 'revival'.
