Finally the festive day arrived, l bathed early, prepared some snacks and gulab jamun (of course). I dressed myself in the long awaited ethnics. I decorated the walls of my temporary home with glittering lights.

I didn't move out of my place the whole day, didn't even talk to anyone except that delivery boy whom I forgot to wish Happy Diwali

With the crackers bursting at outdoor, I took few selfie on my new ethnic wear and few snaps of delicious sweets that I had prepared this morning, posted on my *Instagram status*.

And finally had my dinner, called my parents and went to sleep.

That's how I celebrated a safe Diwali but far from family and far from emotions.
