Priscille experienced the searing pain and burning sensation in her legs and hands. She had first experienced this two days back, that was on Monday night. She blamed the prawns she had in her friend's birthday party. She was allergic to prawns since her childhood but she took a risk that night. The symptoms were recurring again and again in intervals. The pain and swelling in her legs and hands worsened over time. This instilled an unknown fear and premonition that something was wrong. The swelling in her legs made her feel uncomfortable and she couldn't wear her shoes to go out. What panicked her was that when she went to lie down for a nap post the lunch, she began to experience physical convulsions and muscle twitches.

She felt immobile for few minutes lying just right there without even able to move her hands to grab the mobile that was lying adjacent. She needed someone's help to drive her to the doctor's place. Her neighbours were out for some ceremony at the church. Her friends had planned on a visit to the Sally caves as a part of their project to explore the haunted places. She knew that they would have started by now and it wouldn't be wise to call them up. It was then she had someone knocking at her door. Slowly she went to the door calling out to the person outside to wait. It was Chongski who was waiting outside.

After explaining the situation to him, he immediately started the ignition of his automobile. Soon they were on their way to Dr.Harvard's place. The massive monolithic rocks lined the outskirts of Bascilia and the moonlight reflected their shadows as they rode along the way. The roads were like the arteries branching in and out and they had to reach the main artery. The night was extremely cold and the wind tousled her hair and made the music inaudible. The roads barely had any passengers in transit and this made her uncomfortable. There was this silence widespread and she longed for some company.

Presence of any other human being and their company. Chongski was silent and his face was apprehensive with fear and that panicked Priscille. The shadows of the rock were more like a human, masculine and monovalent. It seemed to be lurking at her with unspoken intent. Priscille had her instincts foreboding that things weren't good. Maybe it was hinting her the call of death. Droplets of tears formed under her eyes and she helped conceal them with the tissues. The car came to a screeching halt in front of the clinic.
