It was my twenty-ninth birthday and as usual, I have restricted the WhatsApp messages five minutes before midnight.

I got to know this application wise data restriction facilities that Redmi provides from my first ex. Back in 2015. 

But sadly, I never thought to apply it this way. 

'He remembers your birthday Aru!' 

'He will call.' 

'He always does.' 

All my self-counseling whispers came to an end when I double tapped the screen. It read -

His call didn't come. 

But my phone already had thirteen missed calls - the calls which I purposely ignored.

I wanted to hear him wish me. First. 

I turned around and laid down. Hopelessly.

My top view looked like one open parenthesis which was not open to any thing new in life.

A tear rolled down my left cheek and I remembered the first time he breathed hope into my heart when I thought I'm good for nothing. 

I was listening to him like my arteries listen to my heart. 

I let out another sad smile, looking around for absolutely nothing.

Double tap the phone screen.

Tap on the Notes icon. 

Open a fresh note.

I started bleeding words and veins onto the blank note.
