Birthday

Birthday brings gifts of beautiful and sweet best wishes. Birthday is a special day in every one's life, especially children eagerly wait for their birthday. On this day we like to be with our friends and dear ones.

Every year I look forward to celebrate my birthday in some different way. My birthday falls in the month of March and final examination begin therefore I can not spend much time merry-making even if I want to.

Last year I celebrated my birthday with children of an orphanage. After visiting the orphanage I realised how fortunate I'm to have parents and a home to live in. I talked to few children who didn't have parents or those who were left by their parents and was happy that they share love and happiness amongst each other and live like a family by taking care of each other. I cut a cake, distributed clothes and food packets among them. We had party kind of atmosphere when we sang and danced.

In the evening my parents decorated the house. My sisters and friends brought chocolate cake and decorated it with candles. My parents gave me a beautiful gift, my favourite guitar. We played many games and enjoyed a lot because there was no test for three days.

This year I planned to spend time with the children of slum area. My parents always support me. They happily agreed to join. We arranged gift, food packets and a big cake. I always thank God for the blessings He had given to me. I wish no one is deprived of. If I can eat and celebrate why not the poor!

It was the most beautiful day in my life. The smiles of those innocent children when they got cake and gifts. My parents distributed food and other goodies that were purchased for them.

I make it a point to be happy celebrating my birthday and nothing gives me more happiness then celebrating it with those who have very rare chances to feel happy.
