Shantiniketan said,"Oh, dear Anamika, please describe your story. Then Anamika started to the recall her golden past.

Then I was a  Student of PG 1st year. My subject was English. I had to read my reference books to write answers of the questions given by our lectures. I have to come to library again and again. I had been busy for taking notes. I had spent hours by hours here. Sometimes we meet with our friends in the reading room. In this way staff of the library became familiar to me.

They were very cooperative. The helped  me a lot to find out books. .

Next day, we planned to see a Bengali movie. We went for the noon show. We were very much pleased to see a Bengali movie after a long period. Then we returned to our hotel room. In that evening we were talking ourselves in the hotel room.

The day after we went to visit Uttaraayan. I remember how our English professor Shishirda had been teaching us Shelly. He did research on mysticism of Shri Aurobindo. So all the time he used to speak about mysticism. We saw Udayan, Shyamoli, Uddichi. Rabindranath Tagore gave this names to the different houses of Uttaraayan. He was very much moody. Always he used to change his shelter according to seasons. When we were students of class 7, we had eaten a tiffin sitting in the open veranda of Udayan from Pratimadi, the widow Rathindranath Tagore on the occasion of Brikhsyaropan. She was very beautiful. We saw her in white saree.

There we saw museum where several gifts of Tagore had been preserved carefully. There was an old model car and an ostrich bird.

When Mahatma Gandhi came to Shantiniketan, he lived in shyamali. The past was vividly seen before me. My friend Santiniketan said, "why are you so boring ? Tell some romantic events. Anamika said," I am not that type of girl. I am very simple and straight forward. Actually my friend circle is limited. Santiniketan said, "Don't be so clever. I know all your secret story" . Then Anamika became quite angry and told him," then you may speak the secret story about me". Shantiniketan replied, "why not, but if you will say then it seems to be much more interesting. " Getting no option, Anamika started to share her secret story.

When I was a student of BA  1st year, a boy friend had come to my life. He was so good that I made friendship with him. We became intimate friends. We liked to share everything between us. Once we decided to marry each other but that was not possible because he was from lower caste than me. At that time our society didn't approve this type of marriage. Then he completed his studies and went back to his home. Then for a long period, we had no contacts. But one day I went to the university for some personal work. Surprisingly we met there. I didn't recognise him but he recognised me. He wanted to know about my family. We talked about old days.  At last, we parted again. We detouched from each other. Santiniketan listened everything. Then he said,"why don't you bring his mobile number. ?" I replied "that is not necessary. Now our paths are different". Santiniketan said,"Oh,yes,I can get it. "

In this way we spent nearly one week. At last we came back to our homes. Then my life was going on smoothly as usual. But night comes after day. That day was New year. Awaking early in the morning, I started to clean our home. My husband Nirmal was ill. I tried my best to bring him out of danger. I had done everything according to a specialist doctor but in spite of all these he didn't become well. At last his health was deteriorated very much so I had to admit him a nearby hospital. After five days he was discharged. I had to run from hospital to home again and again. Fortunately within 4 to 5 months he was able to regain his former health.

Again he began his gardening slowly slowly. He began to write articles for various magazines. Everything seemed to be normal. Nowadays I became very much tired. I had faced many stormes in my life. Now I wanted to take rest only but I was not much fortunate, so I had to do all my house hold works all by myself.

This time we decided to go to my younger daughter' s house. She called me for several times. But I didn't get any opportunity. They planned to visit Uttarakhand. I had done all the managements here for my husband. Then I went to my child's home by flight.

She booked a cab for me. I reached at her home safely. After spending 4 to 5 days there, we started our journey for Uttarakhand. This was my dream to visit Uttarakhand from my childhood. I thanked to God for this. There we saw Nainital, Ranikhet, hill stations and many more beautiful visiting places. We had to wait clothes of winter season. Nearly 15 days we spent their enjoying ourselves very much. At last we came back. Spending another more 15 days in my daughter's house, I came back to my own home.

Again life was going on in its own way. I had done my routine work only. Sometimes we went to visit houses of my husband's friends. Again I wished to go to my native place. I love village life very much. But that time our village was nearly empty. Only nature remained there spreading all her beauties. Going to my little village, my heart was dancing like a peacock. I wished if I had got back my childhood again, then I could really enjoy that life. But reality was very cruel. We had to abide it. Many members of my family passed away. I felt much more lonely there, so I came back again to my own home.

This time I decided to write a novel to utilise my time. I began to think over it. At last with the help of my dear friend Shantiniketan, I had got a plot to write. Everyday I began to sit for writing after finishing my household works. But I did not know why I couldn't able to progress. At last one day I could did it. That day my happiness knew no bounds. Gradually after hard labour I was able to finish the novel. When I found it in a book form, that day was a great day for me. Afterwards I concentrated my mind in writings. Gradually I became a popular literary person. I got chance to attend literary meeting. I began to give speech on various topics. I got satisfaction in my life. I thanked to God every moment because he fulfilled my all wishes. My days were moving happily.

I got a good news. That was my younger daughter was blessed with a girl child. I planned to go there. I became very much happy to see the little baby. At last I returned to my home with my daughter and my grand child. She had been doing work from home. So she spent nearly three months here. Those days were memorable days for me.
