Anamika

        Anu reached her native place with her whole family. All the family members became happy to see them. Their other relatives also came to attend the marriage. After a long time, they met each other. Anu's daughter's cousin would marry his friend.

         After a few days, the marriage was held. The whole house was properly and beautifully decorated. The friends and relatives all were dressed well. One by one rituals were held. In the dias, the bride and bridegroom sat side by side. That day, Anu's daughter's cousin, Sanjoy was sitting happily for marriage. His best friend, Amrit wanted to make fun. So he took bridal makeup and told everything to the bride. Then he sat in the bride's place. Everything was going on properly. When Sanjoy went to put sindoor on her head, he could know that something was wrong there. He stood up and told, "I will not do this marriage."All the people gathered there were astonished. The priest asked about the reason. Then Sanjoy put off chunri from Amrit's head. The audience began to laugh. Then, Amrit ran away.

       At last, the real bride came and the marriage ceremony was continued again. Everyone was out bursting into laughter. His friends told him," check properly, whether this one was original or duplicate. At last, all the guests enjoyed a great feast. Gradually the relatives began to return to their homes. Anu had to stay there a few more days because the newly married bride did not want to leave Anu's elder daughter.

        One day they returned to their own house because Anu"s grandchildren had to go to school and her elder daughter had to attend her office.

         Again Anu spent her day-to-day life. After a few days, the ladies club of the society arranged a grand party for the celebration of the foundation day of the club. Anu joined them. She also physically worked with them. They arranged a function where they showed their different types of talents such as singing, dancing, delivering speeches, etc. Nearly all the families of the society enjoyed the function. At last, they took dinner.

         One day, Anu was sitting in her room. She was busy to see the party photographs. At that time her daughter's mother-in-law came to visit her. Anu became happy to see her after a long time. Then, both of them began to gossip. Anu went to prepare tea. After a while, she came with some snacks and tea. Anu told her to stay at least for the night there, but she said that she had to return to her home because her younger son was alone at the home. After nearly two hours her elder son came and took her.

         Then, Anu went to worship her household deities. After a while, Nirmal came to Anu from his regular evening walk and told her to go outside for dinner.

          Anu went to change her saree. Then they came to a restaurant. They ordered Biryani and raita. They were gossiping there, taking cups of coffee. Suddenly, they saw their daughter and son-in-law. Anu called them. Anu told them to sit with them. Then, she asked her daughter to order something for them. All of them enjoyed the evening nicely.

         On Sunday, they all planned to visit National Park. They started their journey at 9 o'clock in the morning. After, having breakfast, they went together. Anu prepared hotchpotch, brinjal fry, and salad...She also took some fruits and pickles.

         When they were walking amidst the deep forest, they were hypnotized to see natural beauty. The tall trees made a canopy overhead. It seemed as if light and darkness played hide and seek between them. The sweet fragrance of unknown flowers spread everywhere. We could hear various types of chirping sounds of the different birds Sometimes roaring sounds of tigers, lions could be heard. The atmosphere seemed to be magical.

        After walking a few miles, we could see a signboard attached to a tree. The prohibited area was written on that sign board. So, finding a neat and clean place there, we had done arrangements to have lunch. Anu could never find such a place full of peace and solitude.

        They had to come back before evening So after lunch, they began to walk without taking any rest.

          When they reached home, they became very much tired. Anu's daughter prepared tea. They saw snap and talked to each other for a while, then Anu's daughter when back to her house with her husband. Anu told Nirmal that she could not prepare dinner for the night. So, Nirmal prepared French toast Taking a light dinner, they went to bed  quite earlier 

        Nowadays, Anu didn't wish to go outside regularly. Most of the time, she loved to sit in her rocking chair, in front of her favourite glass window where her thoughts could fly in a boundless sky. Sometimes she closed her eyes and to herself to another world. She used to return to her real world when she could hear Nirmal's calling.

        Now, she was nearly sixty-four years old. But, still, she was hopeful for doing something new. Her intimate friend, Santiniketan was with her to give her company and inspiration both.

       Nowadays, Anu is prepared to write a new novel about some renowned and familiar persons who influenced her a lot. Santiniketan was a great listener of her writings. He was always there to encourage her.

       Sometimes, Anu's daughter came with her little child to visit her. At that time she became so much happy, that leaving all her work , she came to play with her granny child.

        In this way facing so many ups and downs, Anu's life was still running. Anu didn't know when she would meet her end. But, she loved to do work. So, she has totally engaged herself in her writing.

        One day, Anu might be lost, but if she was alive in her writings, then only, her life would be fruitful life. So, Anu said, goodbye to herself. But, her dear and near friend Santiniketan looked and looked at her as if he wanted to say something to her, but he couldn't utter a single word.
