All That Is Good In Lockdown

The ‘Covid-19 virus' has spread its tentacles far and wide like a cancerous growth. This virus has been cruel to many lives in these two years 2020-2021. This prevalent scenario has created such a crisis that no one could ever think in their wildest of dreams. Still, there is something good that exists hidden between the lost pages of the book. 

As Covid-19 took supreme control over the world, the countries entered into an outrageous phase-‘complete lockdown'. Everybody’s feet got confined to their respective abodes. I believe this shutdown is a blessing in disguise. It has brought us in close proximity to nature. Due to the imposed restrictions, the amount of vehicles out on the roads has significantly decreased. This in turn resulted in a reduction in carbon emissions. Though this confinement is having a severe impact on the economic growth of our country, we all have inculcated some good habits. Since the development of good health and immunity are key to defeating the virus, people have started ‘home workout sessions' including yoga. This shutdown has taught everyone the innate meaning and pleasure of having a family. Having meals to enjoy a web series together, the strong bond between the family members has significantly fabricated. The most important thing that this crisis has taught us is ‘personal hygiene’ or ‘cleanliness'. Washing hands more often and sneezing or coughing with mouths covered is what I find is the best lesson. 

It’s been a long run of a whole two years now. No one knows where it is going to end. The only thing we can do is to tie our laces tight and move forward strongly with hope and positivity. I believe that we all will be able to overcome this tough situation together by abiding by the protocols set. It is indeed a long run to go. A star to achieve and a life without a virus to make.
