In Brindavan, people worship nature especially Lord Indra, the God of rain because rainfall is precious for their agriculture as without rain there will be no crop, no food which will lead to death. But one Lord Krishna refused people stating that we all are mistaken. Govardhan mountain is our real friend as it is a fertile Mountain that sends the signals in the air and creates clouds that drift over the Brindavan and give us rain. This led to the worship of the Govardhan Mountain instead of Lord Indra. By this act, Lord Indra got angry and decided to punish the people of Brindavan. Due to anger Lord Indra created clouds that seemed devilish. These evil practices against his people were irrelevant which led to the destruction of the whole village. But someone has to come to show responsibility towards his people. Lord Krishna as a small boy lifted Govardhan mountain on his little finger and saved all the villagers from the anger of Lord Indra. After seeing such a heroic act by a small child Lord Indra was shocked. By the time Lord Brahma appeared in front of Lord Indra and informed him about the boy who is not ordinary but the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Immediately Indra stopped rain as a sign of apology, he ordered the clouds to shower rose petals from the skies".

Moral: Lord Indra misuse his power towards his people and on the other side, Lord Krishna used his power for his people as a responsibility towards them.
