A Visit To The Cake Factory

I visited the MONGINIS CAKE FACTORY on 11th November 2015 with my mother and my grandparents. As soon as I entered the factory, I could smell the aroma of fresh cakes and chocolates. A person working at the factory showed us how the cakes are made. I was so excited to see and learn about how my favourite cakes are manufactured. Let me tell you about the manufacturing process in my own words. Firstly, all the ingredients like milk powder, sugar, eggs, flavouring etc. are mixed together. This mixture is called ‘batter’. The mixture is then poured into vessels of different shapes. These vessels are called ‘moulds’. If you want a square-shaped cake, you pour the mixture in a square-shaped mould whereas if you want a heart-shaped cake, you pour the mixture in a heart-shaped mould. The moulds are then put into a huge oven where all the cakes are baked. After the cakes are baked, they have to be cooled. Once cooled, the icing and decoration are done on the cake. The workers in the factory were decorating the cakes with cherries, flowers and leaves made of chocolate, different kinds of fruits etc. The cakes looked yummy! Finally, the cakes are then packaged and transported to the various MONGINIS CAKE SHOPS in Mumbai. I enjoyed my visit to the cake factory and I went home feeling very happy.
