“YOU ,MY FOREVER”

“YOU ,MY FOREVER”

2 mins
162

One day our hair will turn grey, lose its grip and eventually fall,

Eyeballs losing their shine and slowly fading away.

Eardrums lose vibration; the nose may not sense fragrance,

Teeth might decay and fall away one by one.

Taste buds may no longer catch your flavours,

The voice will hardly find its way out of the vocal cords,

Skin will dry and wrinkle,

Slow in walking, hands shaking and legs trembling,

Memory losing its storage capacity,

Valves may block the blood, squeezing the heart,

Nerves might get strained and not respond to the brain's calls,

Kneecaps may wear and tear, making it hard to stand tall,

The spine might bend more; the body may lose its balance,

Bones may break and organs may not stay with us forever.

             But some things will never fade away, My Love:

The warmth of your hug, the essence of your presence, that never-ending care,

The bliss made by your charm,

The joy of having you by me,

Still calling me by the same old cute name without hesitation,

Kisses on the cheek, holding hands tight and walking on a seashore,

Escaping crowds and having late-night bites of our favourite ice cream,

Saying “I LOVE YOU” with the same depth and feeling—like being on cloud nine.

   It feels like being young again, playing with you artfully and secretly,

Being naughty sometimes and longing for you every time,

Sharing moments of joy and happiness, anger and stress—full of emotions,

Playing with your hair, caressing your mind and body,

             Nothing has changed, Neither you nor I.

             Neither our Love nor our Affection.

 Time travels faster than we think;

 we grow old from youth in a matter of days, years, or decades.

I received a gift from God—the precious “YOU”.

I received a gift from you—the special “US.”

It is all I wanted; it is why I was born.

You fulfilled my life, My Love.

You are my Everything, my Universe.

You take my breath away again and again;

         You fill my Emptiness.

I wish to close my eyes beside you;

I wish to find myself with you in every era.
