Can love suffocate?

Why does it feel like a weight?

How much love is enough to save a relationship?

Is it measured in moments or in lifetimes?

When people seek space or time,

What does that mean?

Weeks, months, or years?

Is it a test of love or a cry for freedom?

Should love come with conditions?

Or should it be a choice without bounds?

Why do people treat love like a game?

A test of wills, a battle to claim?

Can't love be unconditional?

Free from expectations, free from pain?

Can't love be simple and pure?

A feeling that's genuine, without a stain?

Can't love be transparent?

Honest and open, without a mask?

Can't love be a conversation?

A dialogue of hearts, a connection that lasts?

Can't love be freedom?

The freedom to be, to breathe, to live?

So why not?

Why can't love be all these things?

Perhaps it's because love is complex,

A mix of emotions, a dance of hearts.

Or perhaps it's because we've made it so,

Complicated and messy, with expectations to show.

But what if we let go?

What if we allowed love to be simple, pure, and free?

What if we let love be love, without conditions or boundaries?

Perhaps then we'd find the answer,

To the question of why not.
