Reach The Stars

You shine the brightest of them all,

Like the Polaris above the Northern Pole,

Darkest nights and empty skies set your stage,

Whilst the milky way lines up in wonder and amaze,

As you enamel the world in your stardust hues,

I wonder if you would kiss the craters on my skin and heal the bruises too,

A shining star, you beam with glitters and light, 

Whilst I lie within the shadows, plutonic and frostbite,

Orbiting the galaxies on an isolated trail,

And once in a while you wink and flash that silvery tail,

Tempting yet torturous be your moment eclipse,

Upsurging a supernova, a sudden apocalypse,

To them, you are the rings of Saturn, golden and bright,

But for me, you put on the masquerade of a rare blue moon sight,

For an eternity we survived as aliens in this cosmos,

Defying nature and its gravitational laws,

Mapping the constellations of a journey that ends on you,

A few miles I have crossed, but a light-year or two still remain due.
