Whispers of Us
Whispers of Us
The day I first saw you, I remained untouched—
No spark, no whirlwind, no story begun.
Even our early meetings faded like passing clouds,
Moments unnoticed, like pages never read.
But......But in your stillness, something bloomed—
A feeling I had not presumed.
At My first glance, you drifted away,
A silent spark, no words to say.
A photo of mine found your dreamscape,
And wove a tale no one could shape.
Your eyes searched corners, near and wide,
But missed the chance, the stars denied.
Yet when fate opened up the door,
You stepped right in and asked for more.
With quiet charm, you claimed my heart,
Played each move like a work of art.
Gracefully, you took the lead—
Turning dreams to living creed.
And Then.......And Then began the pages of us.......
There came a day—the dawn of something new,
With hesitant steps and half-spoken words,
A little doubt, a little courage, a little shyness—
My fragile boat swayed in the sea of change.
Silently, you slipped into the secret chamber of my heart,
A room unseen, untouched, hidden from the world.
Your quiet gestures carried me away,
Your words—like soft winds—lifted my soul.
I was awash in the warmth of your praise,
Drawn to the brilliance of your thoughts.
Spellbound, I followed—
You stole my heart, conquered my mind.
In that journey, when all else felt distant,
Your presence became my only anchor.
You were the wind beneath my wings,
The silent force behind every triumph.
Gratitude flows for the selfless light you gave,
In you, I found not just love—but a friend.
We drifted deeper into each other’s tides,
Yet had to keep our bond hidden from curious eyes.
At times, I made you frown,
But strangely, each time, my love only grew.
Even in moments of sorrow, your words
Were the balm that brought me peace.
When doubt shook the pillars of my faith,
Your voice was the compass, leading me home.
And now, as I stand here—heart unveiled—
I feel closer to you than ever before.
We started off clear, set the terms in place,
Two hearts aligned, but kept their pace.
We both agreed—no tangled strings,
Just fleeting joy, and borrowed wings.
But somewhere along, I strayed too far,
Got closer than I thought we are.
You, the compass—steady and free,
Kept reminding what this couldn't be.
My thoughts ran deep, my heart spoke loud,
At times, I know, I made you doubt.
You feared the words I dared not say—
That I wished you’d choose to stay.
But fret not, love, I’ve come to see:
This wasn’t love—it wasn’t meant to be.
Just a bond to soothe, to touch the skies,
A fleeting dream beneath borrowed highs.
This story will go on the way you choose,
A few more months before you refuse.
I’ll stay in the background, a shadow, a light,
Till you fade out slowly, into the night.
And yet I know, even the most beautiful tales
Sometimes must end before they grow stale.
You taught me silence can hold more weight
Than promises whispered too late.
But don’t feel guilt, don’t carry blame,
We played our parts in this unnamed game.
You were the calm, I was the storm,
In your shade, I found my form.
And though we’ll part when the clock demands,
I'll still feel you in trembling hands.
Your smile will be in my quiet nights,
That will make them even more bright.
Now every stolen moment feels like glass—
Precious, fragile, doomed to pass.
I’ll carry you—not as regret, not as pain—
But as poetry flowing through each vein.
For what we had was never wrong,
Just a fleeting, whispered, twilight song.
So here’s to us, to wings and fire,
To thirst, to touch, to quiet desire.
We may not have had the world or time—
But for a while… you were mine.
