Whisper Of Heart

Crystalline white snow on turf,

Crisping crunched beneath feet,

As we travelled the path, 

They whispered out of the blue, 

Your shadows danced in bizarre shapes 

Like an elated beau. 

They whispered to see across the lake, 

Where heedful skaters flew to and fro, 

Making fast turns, 

Weaving among runs, 

And kneading invisible buns. 

"Drown in the ecstasy of earth, 

Like the skaters drowned in speed," 

They said louder now.

Bathe in glimmery bright light, 

While your soul warbles through reeds.

Listen to your pure elan; 

Does it not sound like a symphony flowing from the cathedral of Milan?

Drink wine from tranquil envoy and 

Soak up in bliss,

Just like a snow-flecked maple on a black bough,

Feel contentment in another's bliss." 

Biting wind blew over my hair, 

Strangely seemed friendly, 

Covering me in the earthy and murky air.

My eyes closed in blissful thrill. 

But wait, no, this can't be true,

What happened today, 

Is it just a flurry dither or my heart's whisper?
