The Love Poem

Innocence was his signature mark,

All this time he had seen only dark,

Jealousy, hate, anger and treachery,

Was all he had filled in his memory,

Like an innocent child in an unknown place,

Wandering he was through the life's maze,

Life was black with background white,

From nowhere came a mystical light,

Suffering dispersion it split and spread,

Sewing his torn life with a colorful thread,

As he rose and caught a sight,

He saw a smile which made him quiet.

Calm he was and looked in her eyes,

Found the seven seas and the skies,

There he wished to drown in forever,

And strings of his heart began to sever,

Happiness and energy were at their breaking point,

But it was, in a long way, just a checkpoint,

Life had a lot to offer,

As he moved on with his lover,

They lay entwined in each other's arms,

As brightest shone their love charm,

None could even think of tearing them apart,

As their love was what had set them apart,

Moved on their love towards a destiny undefined,

All who came to stand in the way...declined,

Hair turned grey and skin turned old,

Love had after all survived so much cold,

Sitting in balcony of their villa on shore,

Remembered all the moments they roared,

Like a lion with his lioness in their cave cum home,

Went to heaven to complete this poem.
