Shh Don't Tell Rapunzel

Shh Don't Tell Rapunzel

Rapunzel was stuck in her tower,

Sang only one song for many hour;

She didn't even know meaning of words,

As no one heard her but tweeting birds;

She let her hair down occasionally,

So that mice might keep her company;

But here's a whammy twist,

Don't tell her please,

Her hair began to smell like duff cheese that small mice carry in their claw,

It fused in her hair like clumps of straw.

It reeked horribly stale,

For miles around, beyond the dale;

Rapunzel, she never guessed,

She never knew it's her hair who was messed;

Now, when the Prince climbed up her braid,

His heart grew still, he grew afraid;

"What in Heavens is this deadly stink?'

He was unable to speak,

he was unable to think!

As he climbed, it became stronger,

He couldn't bear it one bit longer;

He yelled in agony.

'This putrid strench is killing me!'

He fainted then,

and down he fell,

Into the brambles with putrid smell;

But those kind of mice, wouldn't snitch,

They blamed the awful, wicked witch.

They squeaked this tale, all over town;

But we know better why Prince fainted & fell with that putrid stink.
