Whirlwinds…

Raging throughout the day

Winds of commotion - brushing away sometimes

Sometimes wanting to stay

 

Facing endless days

Nights too short

Groping for the silence, but getting not…

Early dawns quicks grabs

Hands chained with expectations sometimes

Sometimes waiting to be held again

 

Never ending lists and to-dos

Pages turning but too soon

Bringing up the future

Or growing up with them

Laughter quite often, big fights sometimes

Sometimes just a lull in the storm

 

Changing reflections of self

Not looking hard enough

Finding hard to recognize

Distorted through peak and trough

Known are the smiles sometimes

Sometimes just a flipping glance

 

Remind daily not to change

Time may fly past

But you sit back

Appreciate the maze

Extract, store memories

Reminisce often to relive

Going back if not in time

Then in my crowded mind

 

But decades vanish in a jiffy

Frantic searches after eons...

my forgotten slice with you

Of our time and life together

But finding it nowhere

Whirlwind must have blown it away

Not just my time piece

But the time in it astray….
