While Feeding the Parrot

The pointed gaze of a Parsi woman

While feeding the caged parrot

So impassively and non passionately 

Keeps herself entangled in that melancholy.

Is she aware of the caged bird?

Or

Does she find herself caged?

The art is troubling me from within.

"Oh young woman

Have you slipped from your mind,

All about your young one?"

 Peeking through the frame 

He too needs the feeds. 

The brush strokes of the artist 

Is so very pivotal.

The picture is the rarest

As it does both

Conceals and reveals.
