What Is Nature?
What Is Nature?
What exactly is Nature?
Is it the amorphous forest,
Or the crystalline cascade.
An enchanted song of birds,
Or the murmur of insects.
The quiescent moon glowing in dark,
Or the sun's radiant luminescence.
Is it the sapphire which is embedded deep within,
Or the coarse and decrepit rocks on the surface.
The shriek and shrill of the newborn,
Or the maladroit dying life of an old.
Is it the effulgent stars,
Or the far-away planets.
The ether during summer,
Or the fulguration on rainy days.
The knot tied between two couples,
Unbreakable for eternity,
Or impuissant people weeping on their failures.
Is it the mere coincidences that happen every day,
Or the miracles of God.
The five-year old's tantrum,
For the attention of his mother,
Or the lenity of a young woman.
Is it the wreathe of the whirlpool,
Or the wrathful cyclone.
The tiniest atom which makes any matter,
Or the phenomena gave forth by numerous scientists.
What exactly is Nature?
