What After Me?

"I have reached home safely, don't you worry."

These will be my exact words from far.

Neither you can see me nor can you hear me.

I will be far, very far away from you and everyone.

Teardrops will be falling from your eyes, silently.

But I shall not be nearby to wipe them.

My soul will be somewhere unknown.

Will you remember me as much as I will miss you?

Can I only watch in silence what's going on there?

No advice from me will be left to annoy or calm you.

You will be free to do everything on your own, right?

To honour the beautiful bond that we shared here,

Recall my loving words with fondness and admiration.

Can you stay without me, or have you found another?

Try not to immerse yourself in me and my dream.

You invariably desired for me to go away.

Will you still shed loads of tears remembering me?

I assume that you will cherish my thoughts forever.

My soul needs to be set free from misery and pain.

Leave my hand and let me go away from this place.

Time not known but I have to catch the flight home.

It will be best if you continue with your responsibilities.

Will you retain everything that I had explained to you?

Do not fuss irrationally in my prolonged absenteeism.

I will be watching you from that unknown, lonely place.

Please do not throw my memories into the trash bin.

Clean & dust my room but do not wipe the happy pictures.

I want to linger there in every corner of my warm house.

We were together on this journey until this point, not anymore.

I entered this world alone, without any familiar faces.

I had an excellent rendezvous and also very unpleasant ones.

I had no regrets in life, now I have no recollection at all.

What I possessed in my kit till now, I cannot carry them alone.

I have to go with empty hand, the way I had arrived.

I am only entitled to carry one luggage: The Karmic results.

I did not want to go so soon, but my hands were tied tightly.

Parting is ever heartbreaking & I have endured some of it.

It will be shocking for many, sorry for some, grin from none.

Will you mourn my leaving more than what I had done for you?

It might create a void in your heart and life, but I am helpless here.

I have penned down everything in order about your daily routine.

Who will look after you, like me, spending many sleepless nights?

But, I have to leave as My Father has arrived to take me with Him!

I am feeling miserable and in distress to depart from this place.

What about you and your subconscious suffering flowing to me?

I am a loving, healthy, strong, happy and peaceful soul.

No strings are attached to it, and I am carefree now.

Send me with prayer & love in your heart and whisper Adieu.

I may not be next to you when you open your eyes next time.

But whenever you look up, I will be there in the star gazed sky.

My fragrance will stay in every corner of the house and balcony.

I love you so much and I know you also do, without displaying it.
