We Will Rise

We Will Rise

2 mins
388

The mundane, sleepless nights;

But, the voice in my head still fights.

You betrayed us all, became a traitor;

But, you couldn't break me, we still became greater.

The sleepless, tiresome days I spent;

Trying to figure out how you did it;

When I realised you didn't.

I was whole, I was steel tested in fire;

Still the one who people admire.

It was my chance to turn the tables 'round;

Break you like you tried to break us;

But we shall make sure you won't be found.

Don't worry, benighted soul;

An army has risen to oppose your goal.

Know when the clock strikes one,

It is time for you to be gone;

For you wronged me and the women who still feel forlorn.

Why do we refer to God as He?

We admit, some of us are scared;

But, when we are done with you,

You shall find yourselves ensnared.

There shall be none of this;

Everything shall be fair.

This warning is not a contingency;

But, the future in our power.

We confirm, there will be change;

For the future is finally within our range.

Beware.

This is our victory lap;

We shall ensnare;

All of you in our trap.

We have a voice now, we can fight;

We don't need anyone to guide us into the light.

Oh, obnoxious spawn...

You are yet to realise, those days have already gone.

There is still time for you to run;

For we are rising slowly;

Our era has not yet begun.

Oh! But it will...

And here I am writing and preaching;

So that we can make the world a better place to live in.
