When The Rain Falls
When The Rain Falls
“Into each life, some rain must fall”
The old on the pavements— hungry and wary.
But when it rains in the night,
The children hear a call
Of Pan and his fairy!
Walk the path, my dear
Of sunken ships and clawing fear
Of forgotten towns of dreams-come-true
A sky with a rainbow hue,
And in the morn grass dew
After the rain falls.
Puddles on a yellow-road
Reflecting the moons glow,
The singing of a merry toad,
The child’s jovial ‘hey-ho!’
Dancing in the rain for fun.
When the rain falls.
Let the rain fall today!
Be the sky—a misty haze!
Of adventure and merriment,
Of misery and sorrow.
For as he said,
“Into each life some rain must fall”
