Was It A Dream
Was It A Dream
I wake up and find a new life set
One where I bear wealth and prosperity.
I knew I longed for it so long
Yet it feels as if I now live a song.
But through this fame and wealth I see
And feel no single ounce of sincerity.
A dream drifts by in the light of day
It guides me along and drives away.
I wake up and look behind, ahead,
I ponder widely but cannot perceive
What I seek beyond is long lost dead.
And the dream I see is yet to be.
