Urban Cacophony
Urban Cacophony
The spirit and frenzy of life in the city,
The incessant honking and blinding maze
Of bumpy roads and lights ablaze,
Invoke a jarring sense of self-pity.
But the urban streets are winding and long
Each turns a mystery, as you meander along
Arousing a fear of going wrong
But hoping to reach your destination strong.
That’s life for you in the town
A disarming medley of joy and frown,
Where old and young let their hair down
And get lost in the din of the crowd uptown.
