Unasked Changes
Unasked Changes
Gone were the days I lived within you, mother,
There came a day where I had to start anew further
Gone was the day I cried my eyes out to enter school
There came a day where I cried bidding farewell to school
Gone were days when classes were our personal diner
Then came days when lectures just became sourer
Gone was the day when "friends forever" drifted apart
Then came a day when anonymous in life became a part
Gone were the days when parents said "grow up"
Then came a day when mother exclaimed, "Oh! My baby grew up soon"
Gone were the days of fear to sleep in a room alone
Then came days where it was fun to be forelone
Gone were the days when thoughts drifted to 'what my future holds'
But now, here I stand, facing my future, saying "bring it on!"
They said love is crazy,
Oh no! Life is more crazy!
