Turtles In Captivity
Turtles In Captivity
Gone those days of a plastic-free ocean
Which I miss every day
Because for me it was my home
And every day felt like Sunday.
I miss swimming in the glistening waters with my friends
Whose hearts have now been turned into stone
Because of the memories, they carry in their every bone.
Mr Dolphin always used to say "Hi! Mr Turtle"
As he used to pass by the coral which was purple.
In those days divers used to swim with our turtles and rub our back
But now people laugh at us which gives our heart a crack.
Entertaining people is our daily task
As swimming in the small aquarium from dawn till dusk.
Day by day we continue to sink at the bottom of the pool
And people it's kind of cool
We know that we have no way out of this aquarium
Till we are found in our pathetic dead form.
