Try I Must

I have tried and failed many times,

My body and my will shouting to quit,

But try I must.

I know my arrows do not hit the bullseye,

My mind telling that this is not meant to be,

But try I must.

The noise around me confuses me,

My friends say this is beyond me,

But try I must.

There are no claps for me,

Everyone declares me a loser,

But try I must.

The heart says to stop listening,

Pay no heed to others, 

That try I must 

The focus may not be my strength,

But hard work sure is,

Hence, Try I must.

You see my failures,

I see practice,

Therefore, try I must.

Today, I might not be an achiever,

But tomorrow would be no regrets,

So, Try I must.

The destination not of importance to me,

The journey is what enthralls me,

And that’s why Try I must.

Passion keeps me alive,

Quitting will weaken me,

Just why, Try I must.

Life is not in winning,

It’s in the lessons of failings,

Hence, try I must.
