True Love

Wish the path to true love was easier

and not piqued with difficulties

does not put to test the tenacity of bonding

the reality per se is exacting and stiff 

The course is far from smooth

often wobbles on serene blessed mood

true love is like a vivacious rose 

surrounded often by threatening thorns

roads arduous are to be traversed

to have the feel ...

and possess this exclusive and precious

True love is more or less platonic

 comes with a price

 puts to test one's persistence

 like the mother's endurance of  pangs of childbirth

 one has to undergo love's labor

 to prove oneself for this

 not everyone's cup of tea...

 a handful only, destined for it.
