To My Darling Korona
To My Darling Korona
This is an Ode to you,
My Darling Korona,
You have been a boon in many ways,
My Dearest Korona.
I see kids spending,
Time more with their parents,
I see my "bhaaji waali" too,
Keeping a bottle of sanitizer or two.
You have been a boon in disguise,
My dearest Korona.
I see my pocket bulging,
With savings and more,
All thanks to you,
My dearest Korona.
I see even my maids,
Coming with a change of clothes,
While cooking or washing dishes,
Or cutting vegetables or so.
But,
My dearest Korona,
Though you have given us a lot,
You still are an Angel of Death
I cannot invite you into my life,
I just can't do that.
For,
I need to see,
My kids grow up,
I want to see,
Them play and grow,
I want to see
Them grow sunburnt
Not weak in the Sun.
So,
My dear,
You need to go,
Never to come back,
We can manage with less,
We can manage not seeing,
Our loved ones,
But knowing they are safe.
So,
Don't come once gone,
We don't need you in our lives at all,
GOOD BYE!
ONCE AND FOR ALL!
