Good Old Battle
Good Old Battle
I woke up early today
As lively as the morning ray
Pen and paper are sitting on the table
Ready to witness poem, prose or fable
The scenery outside my window
Is so beautiful and inspiring, you know
Ideas are popping one after another
Yet my mind and heart are not together
The mind wants me to simply write
The heart wants to take in all under the light
It wants to wait and feel
The peace, calmness, and stillness behind the window veil
Mind says, "No! It's a trap,
Just grab what you see, and make a wrap"
I believe my mind is righter
Yet heart's hold on my hand is tighter
I sit still listening to the clocks tick-tock
It's nothing, just the writer's block
