To Be Still
To Be Still
Breathing in, and out, suppressing, squeezing the anxiety within, compressing it to a single atom,
A tiny burning core in the stomach, eyes closed, eyelids covering distraction,
Watery flow from head to toe, the core burning out, starved of fuel of anxious thought, dissipating into an internal universe,
Blood pumping it away like a wave on the shore, until it is no more, heartbeat a gentle drum beat, beating, beating, slowing, slowing,
Mind blank of all but the sound of beating heart, slower, slower,
The sound of gently coursing blood in ears,
A peaceful river serving a higher state, clarity,
Smells sharp through dilating nostrils, in, out,
Again and again, and again, sublime, no active thought, floating, floating.....
