Those Boring Days
Those Boring Days
I wake up to the irritating alarm
I rush to the washroom
I brush my teeth with no interest,
I get ready for school with no zest
I sit at the usual desk with my humorous friends,
I hear the teacher's boring history legends.
Oh! The recess is what I least look forward to,
Because of the smelly room and my friend’s terrific chew!
My science teacher goes -tions,
Like evaporation and conduction.
We now wave our weary goodbyes,
I give my friends tired high fives.
I reach home with my bag weighing a ton,
After eating, studying, and playing the day is done.
I woke up early the next day, again,
I repeat this painful routine again and again.
I now miss those friends and the sweaty ground,
I can’t do anything now as I am homebound.
The happy faces are now rare to be seen,
I watch the television go vaccine, vaccine, vaccine.
