These Lands, Conquered
These Lands, Conquered
He came, he saw he conquered
He hoisted his flag on that land and went back home
Leaving his footprints behind.
Even as the conquerors' flag fluttered in the breeze
The landscape changed from green to brown
Many birds and animals became extinct
The people went through a metamorphosis
The healthy became affected, the self sustained became dependent
And the prosperous became penurious.
The land he came, saw and conquered degenerated
While he and his generations
With the income, he leeched, happily prospered
