The Vulture

The Vulture

1 min
132

Baldingly bad,

He springs at the feet,

Left to right,

And the right to left again,

In the boxers' fashion;

Bony bent beak

Tearing at the awful mass

In villainy vehemence

And wild excitement.

Boisterous and bulky,

The vulture ---

Like other birds:

Two legs, two wings,

And walking when he has to ---

Scavenges here and there,

And far and near,

Clearing my world

Of putrid carrion.
