The Underprivileged

The Underprivileged

Trudging through the streets, draped in sweat

A handful of garb and grub is all they get

Attired in rags, carrying filthy bags

From top to bottom all wet…

Deprived of fundamental rights

Prone to slum fights

Divest of rudimentary education

It is the “Developing” Nation

Of which they are manifestation.

Surrounded with scrap

Embodied in a trap

An iota of happy life

Is all they grab.

Lured to consume drugs and pills

Which dupe and kills…

It is their childhood which lies shattered

With the muck laying dilapidated and scattered.
