The Smooth Talker
A glossophobe was challenged to give a speech.
Everyone was sure that he would fail.
Everyone wanted to make him a laughing stock.
No one wanted to motivate him.
No one was interested in the glossophobe’s speech.
Everyone knew the outcome.
But the glossophobe had different ideas.
“Surely, I will stutter.
Surely, I will have issues giving a speech.
But if I pamper my shortcomings,
when will I defeat them and conquer them?
How many times will I accept being glossophobic?
I will work on my failures and mistakes to outsmart them.
I will ensure that I show my A-game,
and I will work hard.”
Those were the words of a glossophobe.
And didn’t he work hard to capitalize over his phobia?
Working hard over his phobia had made him a fluent speaker.
Similarly, you should grab opportunities instead of giving excuses.
When people work hard and improve themselves,
what follows is success.
