the complaint of the clouds
the complaint of the clouds
When it rained for the first time,
I would often enjoy its petrichor.
I would close my eyes and enjoy the fragrance.
But as it started raining frequently, my interest started diminishing.
Sometimes it would drizzle; sometimes it would pour.
Torrential rains had the capacity to destroy farms, houses, and disrupt modes of transport too.
I complained,
“Oh! Rain, how merciless are you?
Aren’t you the cause of destruction?”
Several schools and other educational institutions remained closed because of you.
The rain defended itself.
“Aren’t you the one who enjoyed the petrichor,
and now you are complaining?
Similarly, we reap benefits from a certain thing until it benefits us.
When the same thing shows up negatively,
why do we change our mind?
Why don’t we see positivity in that particular thing?
The moment we use it positively,
positivity will triumph over negativity.”
