The Shake Down

I looked at her in surprise,

asked her why did you tell me a lot of lies,

You said you would always remain single,

Wanted to enjoy, have fun, and mingle.

Now you come to me,

To say you are married and no more free,

I want to file a suit against my husband,

Hope you understand,

He was a wife-beater and very violent,

I will no longer remain silent,

He has tortured me in many ways,

She left, I phoned her husband with a sigh.

To know from him if her version was it true or a lie,

He replied and said, the bruise she got from her beau,

Every day she is with someone new.

Now she blackmails me of being violent.

I too will not remain silent.

 things have gone far enough for me.

I will never allow her to go free.
