The Search Within
The Search Within
Amidst life's thorny paths and rocky ways,
A man traversed with a restless gaze.
In search of that elusive bliss,
That many souls with the yearning miss.
He scoured far and wide, with tireless feet,
In cities vast and deserts bleak,
In oceans deep and mountains high,
With hopes that happiness would draw nigh.
He sought it in the glistening gold,
In palaces grand and fortunes untold,
In all that man's desires behold,
But still, happiness remained untold.
Through wind and rain, through fire and ice,
His search for happiness did suffice,
Yet he found himself in deep despair,
With happiness still evading his snare.
Then he paused, with heart and mind,
And looked within, where answers doth bind,
He found a truth that no one can hide,
That happiness is within, where love doth abide.
He embraced it with an open heart,
And let go of fears that did impart,
He found that true joy was his to claim,
For happiness is not outside but in one's frame.
Let us all with open eyes,
Look within, where true bliss lies,
For happiness is not far to seek,
But within oneself, where love doth speak.
