The Retirement
The Retirement
People say
I don't look retired
The face is glowing
Nothing has changed
Looking fresh and fine.
The day similar to the last one
Started with a walk
Brushed, saved and bathed
Adjusted tie over the suit
Left for the office in the car.
Day ended with a meeting
All with good words
As in the climax of a story.
With flower and gift
Left for my return journey.
Today I visited the office
Welcomed by the sentry.
The staff stand up and tell
"Not a wrinkle on your face
Looking fresh and fine
Happy retirement on time."
I am as before
Date got changed
The waiting is over.
Crossed the time zone
It's time to walk all alone
To rediscover me once again.
