The Resilient Superhero
The Resilient Superhero
I wonder why they call her a Supermum!
Such titles are her only rewards.
It's her time we spend in slumber;
It's her love that flows in our veins.
Nothing matches her inner strength.
Is that why she is called a superhero?
The Sun is her daily alarm;
The Moon doesn't give her solace.
Morrow's plans keep her awake;
The night is her time for a nap.
She is still called a superhero!
No gratitude is expected in return;
No rewards are dreamt of at the end.
Your smiles are her only incentive
But the engine still works, even without fuel.
Is that why we call her a superhero?
Bruises don't give her pleasure;
Strains are never a relief.
Insults showered aren't a bed of roses,
Despite all, her tears can hide a world.
That's why she is a superhero.
Her life bears more than it can;
Her heart gives without reserve
And her dreams remain mere dreams.
Is that why she is called a superhero?
Is there any superhero like your MUM?
